Job Title: Behaviour Mentor - Year 8

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work closely with a small group of boys in Year 8 who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as some behaviour challenges. If successful, you'll become a part of a dynamic team at this over-subscribed 11-18 Academy located in the South Manchester suburbs of Altrincham, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of these students. Role Overview: - Support a small group of Year 8 boys with SEMH and behaviour challenges in overcoming obstacles and achieving their full potential. - Develop and implement tailored strategies and interventions to address individual needs and promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being. - Collaborate closely with teachers, parents/carers to create a holistic support network for students. - Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where every student feels valued and supported. Requirements: - Experience working with students with SEMH and behaviour challenges preferred. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families. - Resilience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting student well-being.
