Axcis Education are excited to be working with a wonderful college based in Stroud who are looking to recruit a Learning Support Worker. This role will be supporting students with various SEND including complex needs and autism. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with similar additional needs and a passion for having a positive impact on the academic and emotional progress of students in further education. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in training as a teacher to gain some vital experience. Working hours for this role are between 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and the hourly rate of pay starts at £14.66. Responsibilities include: - Keeping the students engaged with their work to maintain their academic progress - Ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for the students to work in by listening and understanding their individual needs - Working with the teachers and wider college staff towards the student’s individual Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs) If you are a caring, friendly and patient individual then this could be just the kind of role you're looking for.
