Job Title: FULL TIME SEN teaching Assistants required in Plymouth
Axcis are working with a ‘good’ primary school who are looking to appoint an energetic and enthusiastic SEN teaching assistant to work as part of a wider team at the school on a full time basis. This will begin as temporary placement which will most likely become permanent for the right person. The role of an SEN Teaching Assistant may change during the day, dependent upon the support needs of each pupil. The successful candidate/s will be required to work alongside class teachers and other support staff and to follow any recommendations/guidance from multi agency teams. Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviours, physical and/or learning difficulties is essential for this position. A warm and empathetic personality is vital, as is a desire to work professionally with others to ensure they provide the best possible support for their pupils. A commitment to continuing professional development is necessary; they work closely together, and roles may be interchangeable to meet children’s needs. Working hours for teaching assistants at the school vary according to work base. Hours could be 9:00am – 3:40pm or 8:50am - 3:30pm Monday – Friday.
