Special needs teaching assistants Axcis Education are helping a special needs school in Chippenham who are looking at full time teaching assistants for long term opportunities, preferable starting asap. Working hours are 8:30-3:30 Monday to Friday and term time only. We have been fortunate to have placed people in this school to great success and many people love it enough that they stay permanently. This school cater to mostly primary aged children but officially teach children from as young as 5 all the way through to post 16. Children come with a wide range of disabilities, from autism and complex needs to cerebral palsy and severe learning disabilities. The school have a great team already in place and foster a warm and friendly environment to both work in and invite children to. We are looking for people that have great special needs experience, which can come from either from working in a school or a care background. Patience, resilience and empathy are a must and ideally we are looking for people that would be okay with personal care, since there will be many children that will need help with it. The school have a great open door policy for staffing from agency to sit in on training that happens almost weekly so there is great opportunities to upskill and learn a lot from working here.
