DETAILS: A primary school based in Kingston are in need of a 1:1 teaching assistant to provide support for a Year 2 pupil with Cerebral Palsy and Global Developmental Delay.

The successful teaching assistant will be working under the direction of the class teacher to provide support in the educational and social development of the child within the classroom. The ideal teaching assistant must be able to support all areas of learning including developing speech and language skills, building independence and physical development, self-care (including toileting), developing social interaction and communication and practical based learning.

This is a full-time role to start ASAP on an ongoing basis.

About the role:
o 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant working with a Year 2 student
o Full time, (Mon-Fri)

The ideal candidate:
o Experience working with Key Stage 1 pupils
o Experience with Cerebral Palsy and Global Developmental Delay
" Personal Care is a requirement
o PECS and Makaton - not essential but highly desirable.
