Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant – EYFS (Reception) Location: L33 Start Date: December Contract Type: Full-Time Are you passionate about helping young children thrive in their early learning journey? We are seeking a caring, committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing Reception class this December, providing personalised support to a child with additional needs within an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting. About the Role This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in a child’s early education. You will provide tailored, child-centred support that encourages communication, confidence and developmental progress. The role may include elements of personal care, so a compassionate and hands-on approach is essential. Key Responsibilities • Deliver consistent 1:1 support to a Reception-aged child with additional needs • Assist with learning, play and developmental activities in line with the EYFS framework • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement and adapt individual support plans • Support personal care needs with sensitivity, respect and dignity • Help create a calm, inclusive and encouraging environment that nurtures emotional and social development What We’re Looking For • Experience working within an EYFS or Reception setting (essential) • A strong understanding of early childhood development and the EYFS curriculum • Experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable but not essential) • A nurturing, patient and empathetic approach to working with young learners • Willingness to complete relevant training, including safeguarding and personal care This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a welcoming school community and play a key role in helping a child flourish during their crucial early years.
