Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teacher to join our dynamic team in the heart of Wandsworth, London. As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in the educational and emotional development of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs and abilities of SEMH pupils.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment to facilitate learning and nurture student well-being.
• Implement behavioural management strategies effectively and promote positive behaviour in line with our school ethos.
• Monitor and assess pupils' progress, adapting teaching methods to suit various learning styles.
• Collaboratively work with teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of each child.
• Participate in regular staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience working with SEMH students or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding practices and policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for teaching and making a difference.
