SEND Maths Teacher, Somerset
This role requires teaching Maths up to GCSE level. Taking on this role you'll be able & adept at baseline assessments & ongoing progression monitoring.
This will be working at a special school for students that all have SEMH and need targeted support in order to complete their studies out of a mainstream school setting.
The school currently have 6 pupils which will likely rise to 8 pupils by December. The teacher to pupil ratio is 3:1 with a TA in the class as well.
The role will also include the responsibility of exams coordinator as well. Although previous experience isn't necessary, a good understanding of the school exams system is desirable. The ideal candidate will clearly be able to demonstrate good teaching practices as well as understanding the assessment criteria for Maths GCSE.
This is a permanent position.
