Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Full - Time - Oppositional Defiance Disorder - Shelly Oak
I am currently working with a beautiful school near Shelly Oak who are searching for special needs teaching assistants to join their team.
There are a lot of opportunities available from day to day work to 1-1 long term cover.
I need someone who is patient and experienced with behavioural management as the pupils you will be working with demonstrate behaviour problems of a secondary student.
You will be working 1-1 with a group of 4 pupils who are in year 5 and year 6 alongside a classroom teacher; you will amazing support throughout the day. You will be working closely with these students to help tutor and mentor them as they have recently had
reduced timetables due to not being able to work in mainstream classes.
The ideal candidate will have:
- NVQ Level 3 ( not essential )
- Experience working with ODD and other behavioural needs.
- Experience working with secondary students
It would be advantageous if you have team teach but that is not required.
The working hours will be from Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 3:30pm.
