Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Part Time - St Helens
JOB LOCATION:
St Helens
I am currently recruiting for a primary school in St Helens who require a teaching assistant to work part time in a year 4 class. The role is for 4 days per week as the child attends a community run centre for children with SEND for 1 day per week. The role will involve working on a 1-1 basis with a child with Autism; supporting him with his learning, behaviour and day to day school tasks. The school are looking for someone who is approachable, patient and has the ability to form solid relationships with colleagues and pupils. The behaviour of the child can be challenging at times so it would be part of your role to support the class teacher with implementing behaviour strategies. Experience of working alongside children or adults with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) is required; this can be on a voluntary basis and does not have to have been within a school setting. The school is 2 form entry and has a fantastic team of experienced staff who are welcoming and supportive. It has on site parking and is easily accessible via public transport. INDJOBS This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Charlotte Holmes at Axcis Education on 0151 448 2810.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.
