A mainstream primary school situated in central London is now looking for a full time SEND teaching assistant with full time availability.
" Must have solid experience of working as a TA in Early Years/KS1, either in a mainstream or specialist classroom setting. 6 months minimum experience.
" Teaching or psychology graduates will be considered but they must have classroom, SEN and/or early years' experience.
" Must have a good understanding of ASD and how it impacts on children's learning, communication and sensory/physical development
" Should have some knowledge and experience of using Makaton and PECs to support a child.
" Must understand that they will also be required to support other children within the setting as directed by the teacher. This won't be an exclusive 1:1 role.
