Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant – Bolton (BL2) – Immediate Start
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the Bolton (BL2) area. This temporary role will begin on 1st December 2025 and will continue until the end of the current academic year. The position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and are eager to gain valuable classroom experience.
This opportunity is well-suited to individuals who have previous experience in a school setting, are considering a future career in teaching, or simply want to make a positive difference in a local educational environment. Key Responsibilities
• Provide classroom support to the Class Teacher across a range of subjects.
• Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in preparing learning materials and maintaining an organised classroom environment.
• Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring progress and wellbeing.
• Contribute to behaviour management, pastoral care and daily routines.
• Help deliver targeted interventions under the direction of teaching staff.
Requirements
• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is desirable.
• A positive attitude, reliability and strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow instruction and work as part of a collaborative team.
• Confidence supporting children of varying abilities.
• A valid DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
