Youth Workers Needed - South Gloucestershire - South Gloucestershire - Role: SEND Leadership Jobs
Supply Jobs for SEND Leadership Jobs

Job Title: Youth Workers Needed - South Gloucestershire
South Gloucestershire
Full Time
Axcis are currently recruiting youth workers for teaching assistant roles in and around South Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas. We particularly want to talk to people who are unfazed by challenging behaviour, who are resilient and can remain calm under pressure. Those trained in Team Teach or MAPA will be at an advantage although this is not essential. If you are interested in transitioning to teaching assistant work, we work with a number of pupil referral units in the South Gloucestershire area who are looking for people experienced in challenging behaviour and emotional behavioural disorders. If you're looking to make a positive change in the world then this is your chance. A lot of these children have had difficult home lives and have been let down many times. You must have a calm nature, be unfazed by challenging behaviour and have the ability to de-escalate situations - these children need a positive role model and the right candidate will be resilient, empathetic and understanding. If you make a positive impression at this referral unit a lot of our ad-hoc work turns into long term positions. If you are interested, then please contact Dan Davey at Axcis Education on 0117 373 6127.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
