What are the nasen awards?
Each year, nasen are host to an annual awards campaign which looks to celebrate the achievements of individuals and organisations within the SEND sector. They round off the campaign with a special banqueting ceremony, which takes place in October, in central London.

Learning Support Staff Member of the Year - Sponsored by Axcis Education
The Learning Support Staff Member of the Year Award recognises excellent practice leading to the improvement of outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
nasen Teacher of the Year Award - Sponsored by Equazen
The Teacher of the Year Award recognises an inspiring teacher who, through their practice, has had an exceptional impact on children and young people with SEND.
The Innovation Award for Technology - Sponsored by Scanning Pens
The Innovation Award for Technology recognises an organisation or education setting that effectively demonstrates how technology has been used to promote inclusion for children and young people with SEND.
The David Ryan Publication Award 2021 - Sponsored by Maths for Life
The David Ryan Publication Award recognises an innovative publication (including e-publications) that have had a positive impact on children and young people with SEND.

The Early Years Provision Award (can include all through schools) recognises a setting that has effectively promoted inclusion by providing exceptional provision and practice that goes above and beyond.

The Specialist Provision of the Year Award recognises a specialist setting that has effectively promoted inclusion throughout the setting by providing outstanding provision/practice that is above what’s expected/average.

The nasen Award for Co-production with Children and Young People and their Families recognises a setting which demonstrates effective use of person-centred working with children, young people and their families.
Young Person/Youth (up to 25 Years) Achievement Award - Sponsored by Neurodiversity Networks CIC
The Young Person Achievement Award recognises an individual that has achieved against the odds and/or made a positive difference to the lives of children and young people with SEND.
SEND Leader of the Year Award - Sponsored by NEU
The SEND Leader of the year award (Including senior leaders and governors from any school or setting) recognises a leader or leadership team which has demonstrated exceptional strategic development of inclusion and provision resulting in improved outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
