Job Title: 1-1 Learning Mentor
1-1 Learning Mentor – Bournemouth
Location: Bournemouth
Employment: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Salary: £85–£95 per day

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1-1 Learning Mentor to join our team in Bournemouth. This is a full-time role with the potential to transition from a temporary to a permanent position. You will be working in a school that supports both primary and secondary-aged students, providing vital support to those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), complex learning needs, challenging behaviour, or trauma.
What You’ll Do:
•Provide 1-1 tailored support to students, promoting their emotional well-being and personal development.
•Help students engage in learning by building confidence and motivation.
•Support students with ASD and complex learning needs, adapting approaches to meet individual requirements.
•Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to create a nurturing learning environment.
•Implement positive behaviour strategies to help manage challenges effectively.
•Monitor and track student progress, adapting support as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
•Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, ASD, complex learning needs, trauma, or challenging behaviour (preferred).
•Background in SEND, support work, or working with vulnerable adults is beneficial.
•A calm, resilient, and adaptable approach to handling complex situations.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.
•A proactive, compassionate, and child-focused mindset.
