1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant – EYFS Autism & Behaviour Support – Napton
Location: Napton, Warwickshire
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
Axcis Education is seeking a nurturing and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in an EYFS class at a lovely village school in Napton. The child presents with potential autism and high levels of challenging behaviour and requires a calm, patient adult who can provide consistency and reassurance throughout the school day.

The Role:
You will:
• Support a young pupil on a 1:1 basis with suspected ASC and emotional regulation difficulties.
• Use structure, visual routines, and low-arousal strategies to manage challenging behaviours.
• Foster a sense of safety, trust, and predictability in a busy early years environment.
• Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to monitor and adapt strategies.
• Support transitions, social interaction, and communication development throughout the day.

About You:
• Experience supporting young children with autism or behaviour needs is essential.
• A nurturing and calm demeanour with strong behaviour management skills.
• Knowledge of early years child development and sensory processing needs.
• Confident using visuals, sensory tools, and communication supports (PECS, now/next, etc.).
• Comfortable working flexibly as needs change throughout the day.
