Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ADHD Teaching Assistant to join our team in Wandsworth, London. The successful candidate will support students with ADHD, fostering an inclusive learning environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with ADHD.
• Support students in managing their learning behaviours and developing effective study habits.
• Employ strategies and resources that enhance engagement and focus in the classroom.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to monitor student progress and adjust support as needed.
• Create a positive and nurturing environment that encourages student confidence and self-esteem.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student needs and progress.
Qualifications:
• Experience working with children with ADHD or similar educational needs is preferred.
• Strong understanding of ADHD and its impact on learning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
