Job Title: ASD Teaching assistant
Job Title: ASD Teaching Assistant Location: Sutton, London Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–3:30pm Salary: £90–£100 per day We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Sutton, London. You will provide tailored support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping to promote engagement, learning and social development within a nurturing school environment. What You’ll Be Doing: • Working closely with the lead teacher to implement Individualised Educational Plans (IEPs) for students with ASD. • Using specialised instructional strategies to support academic and social development. • Supporting students with challenging behaviour through positive reinforcement and behaviour management techniques. • Promoting inclusivity and adapting activities to ensure all students can participate fully. • Supporting communication development, using aids such as PECS and Makaton where needed. • Monitoring and tracking student progress, sharing observations with teachers and support staff. • Providing a safe, structured and supportive learning environment. • Participating in professional development related to ASD and special education.
