Job Title: Assistant SENDCO
I am currently working with a mainstream secondary school in the Tiverton area, who are looking for an assistant special educational needs disabilities coordinator (SENDco) assistant, to draft, adapt and implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) for the pupils who attend the school and new starters. The role is a combination of admin and delivering interventions. Experience of working as a SENDco, or alongside a SENDco is essential as whilst the school are willing to help train, they need a candidate to hit the ground running. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday (8.30-16.00). This position is to start in the next academic year in September. This mainstream school are dedicated to creating opportunities that allow students to thrive beyond the classroom and into everyday life. To achieve this, the school use a positive, therapeutic approach to learning to support pupils to overcome barriers to their learning and guide them to fulfill their true potential. Furthermore, the school have a designed and implemented a curriculum, which is tailored to recognise and celebrate the interests and passions of every pupil. Pupils are encouraged to take ownership of their education, with guidance to identify and develop their talents and skills. For this position, you must have previous experience in either drafting, reviewing or amending care plans or EHCPs. This may be in the care industry or a similar line of work. Experience of working with children who have SEND is desirable but not essential. Axcis pay weekly – every Friday. Your pay rate will be in the region of £100-115 a day, depending on your previous experience.
