Job Title: Autism Experience Learning Support Assistant
Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – One-to-One Support for Boy with minor ASD
Location: N17 – North London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Subjects: A-Level Support – Business, English & Media
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work one-to-one with a bright and capable student with minor Autism, starting this September. He is based in a welcoming and inclusive sixth form college in N17, this is a full-time position supporting the student through their A-Level studies in Business, English and Media.
Responsibilities:
Provide tailored academic support during lessons and independent study time
Encourage engagement and focus, helping the student manage mild ASD-related challenges
Liaise with subject tutors to adapt materials and approaches where needed
Promote confidence, independence, and a positive learning environment
Support social interaction and general well-being throughout the college day
Requirements:
Previous experience as an LSA, TA, or SEN support worker (preferred but not essential)
Understanding of ASD, particularly in post-16 education settings
Strong communication skills and a patient, encouraging attitude
A genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs
A good grasp of A-Level content in Business, English and/or Media would be advantageous
