Job Title: Autism Experience SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding, long-term role? Axcis Education is seeking dedicated TAs with strong experience supporting students with Autism (ASD) to join a specialist college in N10 after Easter.
The Role:
Full-time, long-term position
Supporting young adults with ASD in a specialist education setting
Working closely with teachers and therapists to implement individual learning plans
Assisting students with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
Providing tailored support to help students achieve their educational and personal development goals
The Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience working with students with ASD, ideally in a specialist or further education setting
A patient, proactive, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to implement behaviour strategies and assist with life skills development
A background in PECS, Makaton, or other communication strategies is desirable but not essential
