Job Title: Care Support in School
Location: Somer Valley Campus, Radstock
Salary: £83.40 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, permanent (following an initial settling-in period)

About the Role:
Axcis Education is collaborating with a reputable further education college to recruit a dedicated Care Support Worker. In this role, you will provide one-on-one support to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities within the specialist centre at the Somer Valley Campus in Radstock.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer personalised assistance to students, ensuring their individual learning and care needs are met.
• Facilitate communication and learning for non-verbal students, employing appropriate strategies and tools.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to implement tailored educational programmes.
• Support students in developing social, emotional, and life skills, promoting their independence.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and well-being.
About You:
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Previous experience working with individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities is preferable but not essential
• A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt to the needs of non-verbal students.
• Relevant qualifications in health and social care or support work are advantageous but not essential.
