Pay Rate: £190 - £250 per day
Axcis Education is delighted to announce a vacancy for a passionate and dedicated Computer Science Teacher at a reputable school in Oldham, Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is committed to delivering high-quality education in Computer Science/ICT and has the ability to inspire students up to GCSE level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Computer Science/ICT in line with the UK curriculum.
- Plan, prepare and present lessons that cater to the needs of all students in your care.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encourage good practice concerning punctuality, behavior, standards of work, and homework.
- Offer general cover during free periods when required and support colleagues as part of a well-integrated team.
- Utilize excellent classroom management skills to foster a positive and conducive learning environment.
- Contribute to the school’s objectives and aims.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience teaching Computer Science/ICT in UK schools.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desired but not essential.
- Ability to teach Computer Science up to GCSE level.
- Be available to work full-time from January 5th for the rest of the academic year.
- Have excellent classroom management skills.
Support from the School:
- The appointed Computer Science Teacher will be provided with timetabled Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time.
- Ongoing support and professional development opportunities within a dynamic department.
