Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – Early Years Location: Brent, London (Near Neasden Station) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term Role (Potential to Go Permanent) Start Date: ASAP Exciting Opportunity in a Supportive Early Years SEN School – Brent Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic individual with experience in Early Years and a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing Early Years SEN School in Brent, located just a short walk from Neasden Station. This specialist provision caters to children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with a range of special educational needs, including Autism and complex learning difficulties. The school has a warm, community-focused ethos and offers excellent facilities tailored to young learners. About the Role -Support early years-aged pupils (ages 3–5) with Autism and complex needs on a 1:1 and small group basis, in line with their EHCPs. -Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored, play-based learning and sensory activities. -Use communication aids such as PECS and Makaton to support language development. -Provide personal care when required, ensuring children are cared for with dignity and respect. -Foster the development of early communication, independence, and social interaction skills. -Contribute to regular progress tracking and daily feedback for parents and staff. The Ideal Candidate Will: -Have Early Years experience, ideally in a nursery, EYFS class, or early intervention setting. -Hold a Level 3 CACHE qualification in Early Years (or equivalent), or have demonstrable experience working in Early Years education. -Be confident supporting children with Autism, communication needs, and sensory processing challenges. -Be willing to assist with personal care. -Be a warm, patient, and reliable team player. -Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
