This role is ideal for a confident Teaching Assistant who understands the importance of consistency, communication and building trusting relationships with pupils who have complex learning needs. The Role: • Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) throughout the school day • Deliver personalised one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learning needs • Help pupils engage with lessons and develop confidence within the classroom • Use autism-friendly approaches to support communication, emotional regulation and independence • Implement positive behaviour support strategies to encourage successful outcomes • Adapt learning activities alongside teaching staff to meet individual needs • Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEND team to ensure consistent support • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to individual support plans • Promote a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can succeed About You: • Previous experience supporting children or young people with Autism (ASC) • Experience working within a specialist school, SEND provision or mainstream school supporting pupils with additional needs • A patient, resilient and compassionate approach • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills • The ability to remain calm and confident in challenging situations • A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their goals Desirable Experience • Experience supporting pupils with communication difficulties, sensory needs or challenging behaviour • Knowledge of Autism-specific strategies, including visual supports, structured routines and positive behaviour approaches • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, SEND Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Autism Support Worker Why Join This School?
