Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Specialising in SALT (Speech and Language Therapy)
We are seeking to appoint a committed and talented HLTA specialising in SALT at our client Secondary School in the leafier suburbs of Hyde, Cheshire, starting as soon as possible. The post holder will: As SALT HLTA, the successful candidate will work not only as a SEND LSA, supporting a number of pupils with additional needs across the school, but also as their Speech & Language Therapist (SALT) working with multi-agency services for those pupils who need this level of intervention. The post holder will: • Work in partnership with Speech and Language Therapy services to meet the needs of individual students. • Have experience of working with children, young people, parents and families, preferably within an educational context • Have the ability to demonstrate a good level of oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail • Have ambition and drive to excel our school on its journey to outstanding. • Have the skills to raise aspiration and achievement for our pupils • Have a sense of humour and the ability to be able to multi-task with energy and enthusiasm. • Be flexible in assisting in other areas, such as interventions, cover supervisor, and covering absence The School: A large well-facilitated Secondary School, with fantastic transport links nearby.
