In our vibrant learning environment, you'll play a crucial role in assisting our students to overcome their barriers and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: - Provide tailored support to children with ASD, individually and in small groups, to enhance their learning and development. - Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to implement educational programs and behaviour management strategies consistent with students' Individual Education Plans (IEP). - Monitor and assess students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents. - Encourage student independence, social interaction, and participation in a range of activities within the school environment. - Assist with the planning and preparation of learning materials that cater to students' diverse needs and interests. - Contribute to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. - Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your own understanding of ASD and effective educational practices. About You: - Hold a relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent. - Previous experience working with children with ASD or other special educational needs (SEN). - A compassionate individual with a strong commitment to inclusive education. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Creative thinker, able to adapt learning activities to meet the needs of each child. - Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude - Enhanced DBS clearance, or willing to undergo the process.
