The Role: As a Primary Teaching Assistant in the Reception class, you will play a key role in supporting the teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom. Your duties will include: Providing one-on-one support for children who need additional help with their learning and development. Offering support during classroom lessons, helping children to stay focused. Leading small group activities to encourage social, cognitive, and emotional development. Assisting with Speech, Language, and Communication (SLC) interventions, promoting language development through creative, fun, and play-based activities. The ideal candidate will be creative, playful, and have a strong ability to engage young children in their learning. This opportunity would suit a Nursery Practitioner seeking career development or someone with a background in playwork, as your ability to make learning fun and accessible will be key to helping children reach their potential. We are looking for: A passion for working with young children, particularly in an early years setting. A creative approach to learning. Experience or interest in supporting children with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN) and experience using intervention methods such as SALT or Elklan strategies.
