Job Title: Lunchtime Supervisor
Lunchtime Supervisor – Primary School – Poplar, Tower Hamlets
Up to £15 per hour | Part-Time | Term-Time Only | September Start
Axcis are working with a welcoming primary school in Poplar, Tower Hamlets, who are seeking a dependable Lunchtime Supervisor to join their team from September.
You will supervise pupils throughout the lunch period, helping ensure that children remain safe, behave positively and enjoy their break. The school is looking for someone who is approachable, observant and confident managing groups of primary-aged pupils.
The school is accessible from Poplar, Limehouse, Canary Wharf, Canning Town, Bow and surrounding areas.
About the Lunchtime Supervisor Role
Your responsibilities will include:
• Supervising pupils during lunch and playtimes
• Monitoring behaviour in the dining hall and playground
• Encouraging children to follow school expectations
• Supporting pupils with lunchtime routines
• Promoting positive play and social interaction
• Managing minor behaviour incidents calmly
• Providing basic first-response support for minor accidents
• Reporting concerns to teaching or pastoral staff
• Helping maintain safe and tidy communal areas
• Following safeguarding and health and safety procedures

• Experience working with children is desirable
• A confident and positive approach
• Ability to communicate clearly with pupils and staff
• Calm and consistent behaviour-management skills
• Good observation and awareness
• Reliability and punctuality
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Understanding of safeguarding
• Availability during school lunchtime hours
• Commitment from September
