Job Title: Part-time SEND Teaching Assistant
Pay: £92.63 per day Job Type: Daily Supply / Ad Hoc Start Date: Immediate Axcis Education is recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to provide daily supply and ad hoc cover within a specialist SEND school near Kidderminster. This flexible role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in SEND education while working around their availability. The school supports pupils aged 4-19 with a range of additional needs, including PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), Autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs. Staff are committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive. Key Responsibilities • Support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. • Assist students with learning, communication, and personal development. • Promote independence, confidence, and positive engagement. • Build strong relationships with pupils and staff. • Support personal care where required. • Help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment. • Follow individual support plans and behaviour strategies. Requirements • Previous experience working with children, young people, or individuals with additional needs. • Experience supporting SEND, PMLD, Autism, or complex needs is desirable. • A patient, caring, and resilient approach. • Strong communication and behaviour management skills. • Willingness to provide personal care when required. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one. • Flexibility to accept short-notice and ad hoc bookings.
