Job Title: PMLD Teaching Assistant
PMLD Teaching Assistant – SEND College | Edgware | September Start
Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistant to support students within a specialist SEND college in Edgware from September on a full-time basis.
This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting students with profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs within an educational or care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with PMLD
Assisting with personal care and mobility support
Supporting communication and sensory-based learning activities
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Promoting student independence, wellbeing, and engagement
Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience supporting individuals with PMLD or complex needs
Comfortable providing personal care
Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Experience within SEND schools, colleges, or care settings desirable
