Start Date: ASAP Location: Smethwick Position Type: Full-time preferred (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm) Part-time considered – minimum of 3 days per week Pay: £89 per day Long-term work available We are currently seeking a Primary School SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school setting in Smethwick, starting as soon as possible. This is a long-term opportunity, ideally full-time, working with pupils who require additional support. You will be providing tailored assistance either 1:1 or in small groups, helping children to access learning and thrive in the classroom. Key Responsibilities: • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN) • Assist in implementing and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs) • Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development • Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff • Help create an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment Requirements: • A genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs • A positive, patient, and flexible approach to working with young learners • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Previous school-based or SEN experience is desirable but not essential • A valid DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) • Please note: we do not offer sponsorship This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in education while making a real difference in a primary school setting.
