We are looking for a passionate and experienced Primary SEND Teacher to join our school in Islington, working with students who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and complex needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children who require tailored educational support. The successful candidate will be committed to providing an inclusive and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.
In this role, you will teach and support primary-aged students with ASD, developing and delivering personalized learning plans to meet their unique needs. You will collaborate with the SENCO and support staff to ensure the students’ educational, emotional, and social development is prioritized. Some personal care may be required, and we are seeking someone who is compassionate, patient, and adaptable.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver individualized lessons for primary-aged students with ASD and complex needs.
Collaborate with support staff to adapt learning strategies and provide tailored care.
Support students’ personal and social development, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
Assist with personal care tasks as needed, ensuring students' dignity and well-being.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEND, particularly with ASD and complex needs.
A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to provide personal care when required.
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
A passion for creating inclusive learning experiences for children with SEND.
