Job Title: Primary Teacher
We are currently working with a well-regarded SEND school in Slough to appoint a Primary Teacher with a strong background in supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a full-time role starting in September 2025, running Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm. This position would suit a confident and committed teacher who thrives on making a measurable difference to the lives of children with complex needs. You will play a key role in delivering creative and consistent learning experiences for pupils who require structure, patience and emotional support. Job Overview: • Location: Slough • Start Date: September 2025 • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm • Contract: Full-time, long-term • Pay: Based on experience and qualifications Role Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver engaging, adapted lessons in core and foundation subjects for primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs • Foster a nurturing and therapeutic classroom environment that supports emotional development alongside academic progress • Work collaboratively with behaviour mentors, therapists and pastoral staff to support individual pupil needs • Implement structured routines, positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques where necessary • Track pupil progress and contribute to regular reviews of learning targets and behaviour plans • Engage actively in staff meetings, ongoing training and wider school life • Build positive and consistent relationships with pupils, parents and external professionals Requirements: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Substantial experience teaching in a SEND or alternative provision setting • Confident managing challenging behaviour and delivering tailored learning to pupils with SEMH • Strong organisational skills and a proactive, reflective approach to teaching • Calm, resilient and committed to inclusive education This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and resourceful teacher to become part of a highly supportive team in a specialist environment.
