Within this role you will be helping in getting the student integrated back into the classroom. You will be aiding them with sensory breaks and brain breaks whilst supporting them with learning and development. In order to be successful in this role you must be able to work well on your own but have support systems around you in case you needed it. Position: Teaching Assistant in a Primary Setting Type: Full time or part time roles Hours: 0830-1530 Location: Exeter Pay: Between £85-£95 a day Job Description: As a Dedicated Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students with SEND thrive in their educational journey. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing one-on-one or group support to students with varying special educational needs. - Assisting with classroom activities and ensuring students' safety and well-being. - Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. - Supporting students in developing their social, emotional, and academic skills. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes: - Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred whether that’s a carer/support worker, youth worker etc. - A passion for supporting students with SEND and a commitment to their development. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Patience, empathy, and adaptability. - Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) are desirable but not mandatory. - Experience working with challenging behaviours and complex needs is ideal.
