Axcis Education are proud to be recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in a Specialist Primary School in Cheltenham. This purpose-built specialist provision supports children with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and they teach children across KS1 and KS2 in small classes with an ambitious curriculum and increased opportunities for SEMH development opportunities.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant in this specialist resource base, you will:
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to children across three classrooms.
• Work within an adapted space that includes a therapy room, sensory room, and bespoke outdoor provision.
• Support the delivery of a high-quality curriculum adapted from the National Curriculum and EYFS, focusing on the children’s individual developmental stages.
• Help develop skills across the curriculum strands, including Independence, Communication, Social and Emotional development, Sensory and Physical, and Cognition.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience supporting children with SEMH, Autism or other SEND.
• Is enthusiastic about helping children develop their independence, communication, and social skills.
• Can create a nurturing and inclusive environment tailored to each child’s unique needs and interests.
• Is adaptable, patient, and passionate about working with children with complex needs.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential.

Working Hours:
