The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, the SENCo and wider support team to ensure pupils with specific needs are fully included, engaged and supported in their learning. You will deliver targeted 1:1 assistance, help adapt resources, break down classroom tasks and implement strategies that enable children to progress both academically and emotionally. This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who has already worked within SEND or has substantial experience supporting children with additional needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional and mental health needs. We are looking for someone who is calm, patient, resilient and able to build strong, trusting relationships with children who may require consistent reassurance and structured support. A solid understanding of EHCP targets, progress tracking and behaviour strategies is essential. The role will also involve working collaboratively with teachers, feeding back regularly, and contributing to meetings and planning where required.
