Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sherborne. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys helping children succeed both academically and personally.
About the role:
Working closely with class teachers, teaching assistants and the wider school team, you will provide valuable classroom support to primary-aged pupils. You will help pupils access their learning, develop confidence and engage positively with school.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
• Supporting individual pupils and small groups with their learning
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks
• Providing SEN/SEND support where required
• Encouraging positive behaviour and good classroom routines
• Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and academic development
• Helping children develop independence, confidence and communication skills
• Creating a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment
• Working as part of a supportive and collaborative school team
