Job Title: Pupil Premium Manager - Full-Time Position
Location: Rainhill Axcis are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Pupil Premium Manager to join a school on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students eligible for pupil premium, with a particular focus on those experiencing challenges related to poor attendance. This role will involve close collaboration with the pastoral team, working in a welfare capacity to ensure that all students receive the support they need to overcome barriers to attendance and achieve their full potential. Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement strategies to improve attendance rates among pupils eligible for pupil premium. 2. Provide individualised support and interventions to students with poor attendance, addressing any underlying issues and barriers. 3. Collaborate closely with the pastoral team to identify students at risk of disengagement and implement targeted support plans. 4. Monitor and track attendance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement. 5. Liaise with parents/carers, external agencies, and relevant stakeholders to support students' welfare and well-being. 6. Lead on the administration and allocation of pupil premium funding, ensuring it is used effectively to support eligible students. 7. Contribute to the development of whole-school strategies to promote positive attendance and engagement. 8. Keep accurate records of interventions, progress, and outcomes, maintaining confidentiality and GDPR compliance at all times. Requirements: 1. Previous experience working with children and young people in an educational setting, preferably in a pastoral or welfare role. 2. Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with poor attendance and/or eligibility for pupil premium. 3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues. 4. Proven ability to develop and implement effective strategies to improve attendance and support student well-being. 5. Highly organised with excellent time-management skills, able to prioritise tasks and work autonomously. 6. Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and legislation related to attendance, safeguarding, and pupil premium. 7. Relevant qualifications and/or training in education, social work, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
