About the Role
As a science teacher, you will:
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons: Foster curiosity and enthusiasm for science across KS3 and KS4.
• Assess and evaluate student progress: Marking work, setting achievable targets and ensuring all students reach their potential.
• Maintain high standards: Promote a positive learning environment by managing classroom behaviour effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues: Work closely with other teachers, department heads and support staff to deliver the best outcomes for students.
• Participate in school life: Attend meetings, contribute to extra-curricular activities and engage with the wider school community.
Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for this role.
• Experience teaching science: Ideally within a UK secondary school setting.
• Skills and attributes:
o Strong organisational abilities to manage planning, marking and other responsibilities effectively.
o Punctuality and diligence to meet the demands of a dynamic school environment.
