Job Title: Secondary Teaching Assistant
Are you a confident and experienced Secondary TA looking to make a meaningful impact in the classroom? A mainstream secondary school in Urmston is seeking a calm, proactive and committed individual to support across KS3 (Years 7–9).
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting and understands the balance between behavioural support and academic assistance. You'll play a key role in easing teacher workload while supporting students both 1:1 and in small groups — particularly those with ADHD and SEMH — as well as contributing to more structured, larger class settings.
What’s on offer:
A supportive and welcoming teaching team within a well-run Trust
Involvement in parent meetings for greater continuity and student progress
A varied, fulfilling role within a school that values collaboration and initiative
Opportunity to develop within a consistent placement, not day-to-day cover
You’ll need to have:
Recent experience supporting in a UK secondary school (KS3 essential)
A valid DBS on the Update Service
The ability to engage students with differing needs, confidently and calmly
Qualifications such as Level 2/3 TA or HLTA are a strong advantage
Pay starts at £89/day, with up to £105/day depending on your qualifications and experience.
If you're looking for a role where you can make a daily difference, grow within a strong school community, and work with a team that values your contribution, this could be the perfect fit.
