Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Hampton, London Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Full Time, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM Salary: Paid to scale Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team in Hampton, London. The ideal candidate will support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, fostering a nurturing and inclusive educational environment. Key Responsibilities: • Assist teaching staff in delivering high-quality, tailored educational support to students with SEMH needs. • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and provide targeted interventions to promote learning and emotional well-being. • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their engagement and participation in classroom activities. • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of strategies for improvement. • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support students' holistic development. • Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning. Qualifications: • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is essential. • A strong understanding of SEMH challenges and appropriate support strategies. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. • Relevant qualifications in education or child development are advantageous.
