Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in a specialist setting? A well-regarded special needs school in Woodford Green is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team from September for the new academic year.

About the Role
In this full-time position, you will work with students aged 5 to 19 with diverse special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down’s syndrome, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons that align with students' Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
You’ll be supported by a skilled team of teaching assistants and multi-disciplinary professionals, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored, differentiated lessons in line with individual EHCPs
- Support students with ASD, Down’s syndrome, and varying cognitive and communication needs
- Foster a nurturing classroom culture that builds student confidence, independence, and engagement
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external professionals
- Track and assess progress, adapting strategies to suit individual learning needs
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Proven experience teaching students with complex SEN in a special school or inclusive setting
- Strong understanding of EHCPs and adaptive teaching approaches
- Compassionate, resilient, and committed to inclusive education
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
