Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
A nurturing and inclusive primary school in the Waltham Cross area EN8 area is seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from September. Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-time, long-term This rewarding role involves working closely with pupils who have a range of complex needs, including Autism/ASD, non-verbal communication, and other developmental challenges. You’ll provide essential support both in the classroom and in 1:1 or small group settings, helping to create a safe and engaging learning environment. We’re looking for someone who is: -Experienced in supporting children with SEN, especially Autism and non-verbal needs -Patient, empathetic, and confident using alternative communication methods (e.g. PECs, Makaton) -Calm under pressure and adaptable to the needs of individual students -A strong team player with excellent communication skills If you’re passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a genuine impact in their educational journey, we’d love to hear from you.
