Job Title: SEND Learning Mentor - Independent School
Axcis Education are delighted to be working with an independent special school located on the edge of Totnes, who are currently seeking a full-time SEND Learning Mentor to join their dedicated team. This rewarding role involves predominantly 1:1 support with students aged 11-19 who have complex needs, including SEMH, ADHD, and ASD.
Key Responsibilities:
-Work closely with students on a 1:1 basis, offering tailored support to meet their individual needs.
-Deliver targeted interventions to support Maths and English, focusing on areas of development.
-Support students in achieving their educational goals while promoting engagement and wellbeing.
-Follow bespoke, individualized provision plans that allow for flexibility, brain breaks, and activities to enhance learning and wellbeing.
The Ideal Candidate:
-Previous experience supporting children or adults with SEND needs, ideally within an educational or care setting.
-A compassionate and patient approach, with a clear understanding of the unique challenges faced by students with complex needs.
-Ability to create a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
Working Hours & Pay:
-Hours: 8.45am – 4.45pm (Monday to Friday).
-Competitive daily rate: £95 – £115, depending on experience and qualifications.
