Job Title: SEND Teacher
We are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate SEND teacher to join a special school in Tower Hamlets. The ideal candidate should have experience working with students with special needs and a strong commitment to creating a supportive and enriching learning environment. This is an exciting opportunity to positively impact the lives of students and contribute to their growth and development. The position is full-time and available for an immediate start. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with ASD, learning disabilities, communication disorders, and developmental delays. - Provide specialized instruction and support in areas such as language and communication skills, social-emotional development, academic skills, and independent living skills. - Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and assistive technologies to enhance student learning and engagement. - Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, behaviour specialists, and parents, to create and implement comprehensive support plans for students. - Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported in their learning and social interactions. - Use data-driven assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies and interventions as necessary to ensure student success. Essential Criteria: - Qualified Teaching Status and DBS on the update service. - Previous experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a special education setting. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents. - Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs. - Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and cater to individual learning styles.
