Job Title: SEND Teacher
Axcis Education is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and resilient Special Needs Class Teacher to join the team at a well-regarded primary special school in Trafford, starting in September 2025. This role is ideal for a skilled practitioner with a strong background in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behavioural challenges.
The school provides a structured, therapeutic environment for children and young people who require a highly personalised approach to learning. Staff work collaboratively to create a consistent and nurturing setting where pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to engage. The school is well-resourced and benefits from a dedicated team committed to improving outcomes for students facing significant barriers to education.
This position requires a confident teacher with proven experience managing challenging behaviour and delivering creative, engaging lessons that support both academic and emotional development. While the school welcomes teachers from both primary and secondary backgrounds, the role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) due to the complex nature of the student's needs.
Applicants must hold a recognised teaching qualification and demonstrate:
- Substantial experience working with pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- A calm, consistent, and relationship-based approach to behaviour management
- Strong communication skills and emotional resilience
- The ability to plan and adapt lessons creatively to meet diverse needs
