Job Title: SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT - ASD
Location: Southwark Position: Full-Time College Teaching Assistant Daily Rate: £95 We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated College Teaching Assistant to join our team in Southwark. This full-time role involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them to succeed in their educational journey and develop independence. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group support to students with ASD, ensuring their needs are met in the classroom. Assist teaching staff in delivering tailored learning plans and adapting materials to suit individual student needs. Help manage behaviour and create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment. Support students in developing social skills, communication, and independence. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure holistic student development. Monitor student progress and report back to staff on any challenges or improvements. Requirements: Previous experience working with students with ASD or special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable. Strong understanding of autism and effective behaviour management strategies. A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting students with diverse needs. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A commitment to promoting inclusivity and safeguarding the well-being of all students. What We Offer: Competitive daily rate of £95.
