Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about supporting the growth and development of primary school children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team at a primary school in the Richmond/Twickenham area. Position: SEND Support Staff (Primary School) Location: Richmond/Twickenham Hours: • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM • Friday: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Key Responsibilities: • Provide individualized support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other challenging needs • Develop and implement tailored strategies to foster positive behaviour and academic progress • Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and monitor tailored learning plans • Promote an inclusive and supportive classroom environment Requirements: • Experience working with primary school children with SEND, particularly those with ASD and ADHD • Knowledge of effective strategies for managing challenging behaviours • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children thrive Benefits: • Competitive salary - £14.66 per hour • Professional development opportunities • Supportive and collaborative team environment If you are enthusiastic about supporting primary school children with SEND and meet the above criteria, we would love to hear from you!
