Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Axcis is currently seeking a skilled and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Southall. This role is perfect for someone with experience supporting pupils with a wide range of SEND needs, including SEMH challenges and non-verbal ASD. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support to children from Reception through to Year 6, working in line with their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP). Position Overview: Location: Southall Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM Commitment: Full academic year Key Responsibilities: - Offer personalised 1:1 support to pupils with diverse SEN needs, such as SEMH and non-verbal ASD. - Collaborate closely with the SENCO to implement effective strategies in alignment with EHCPs. - Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development in a nurturing, supportive environment. - Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic care for the pupils. Candidate Requirements: - Proven experience working with SEN students in a UK primary school setting. - Ability to work alongside SENCOs and external professionals to support the overall development of pupils. - Full-time availability (Monday to Friday) for the entire academic year. - An Enhanced DBS check registered on the update service is required.
